Creating Bird-Friendly Cities & Communities.

This year's World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD) campaign will highlight the need for a healthy coexistence between humans and birds. It will focus on creating and adapting environments that support migratory bird populations across all communities, from bustling cities to smaller towns and communities. There are actions everyone can take to protect our shared spaces with wildlife.




The event to mark World Migratory Bird Day will be held on May 10th 2025 under the theme ''Creating bird-friendly cities & communities." The celebration is lead by the Convention on Migratory Species and the African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbird Agreement.

These include c reating healthy habitats, implementing effective anti-collision measures, reducing pollution, and providing ample food sources for birds .   Turn off the lights at night because bright lights confuse birds. Birds use the stars to find their way when they fly at night. Bright lights can confuse event attract them. By turning off lights, we help birds stay safe and find their way.
